Muri Beach: Raratonga, Cook Islands

Motu

Lonely little motu
All by yourself in the lagoon
The ocean rolls over you
When the waves are high

Lonely little motu
Birds know where you are
They nest in your palms
When the moon is high

Lonely little motu
Crabs walk your deserted beach
Looking for food to eat
When the sun is high

Lonely little motu
Ringed by coral heads
Fish swim in your shallows
When the tide is high

Lonely little motu
Man has found his way to you
Nothing will be the same again
So say good-bye
